Chennai, July 2026 – Samsung announced that its new foldable Galaxy Z series is now available for pre-order in India. The lineup includes Galaxy Z Fold8 for immersive content consumption, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra for advanced productivity and creation, and Galaxy Z Flip8, Samsung’s slimmest Flip device yet. Built on seven generations of foldable innovation, the series is powered by Galaxy AI, including Gemini Intelligence to help users complete tasks in fewer steps while maintaining transparency, privacy and user control.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is designed for quick interactions and personal expression, built around an AI-native FlexWindow that brings apps, information and Gemini Intelligence directly to the cover screen. Weighing 180g and just 6.1mm thin, it is Samsung’s slimmest and lightest Flip yet. Galaxy AI Introduces More Personal and Proactive Experiences
The new Galaxy Z series represents the next stage of Galaxy AI, with Now Brief and Now Nudge surfacing relevant information and suggested next steps based on a user’s routines and daily needs. Gemini Intelligence lets users move from request to completed task in fewer steps, with app automation now supported across 49 applications and services, and Notebooks in Gemini organising notes, images and recordings into structured summaries.
Security and Privacy Built into the Experience
The new Galaxy Z series combines multi-layered security with expanded privacy controls across Galaxy AI. Samsung Knox protects every device from the chip level up, with Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection and Knox Vault securing personal data. One UI 9’s new AI Assistant Activity dashboard gives users a central view of AI actions, while Enhanced Privacy Alerts notify them of potential privacy risks, offering greater transparency and control.
