Agurchand Manmull Jain College hosted AMJ–Nexathon 2026, a 24-hour Mega Hackathon organized jointly by the Departments of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Applications, and Software Applications on March 7 and 8, 2026. The event was conducted in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as Knowledge Partner, CIEL HR Services Ltd. as Associate Partner, and PREFCOL Education Solutions as Title Sponsor.
The hackathon brought together over 200 students from A.M. Jain College and various institutions across the state, creating a vibrant platform for innovation and problem-solving. Participants developed technology-driven solutions addressing key areas such as Healthcare and Wellness, Agriculture and Rural Development, Cyber Security and Digital Safety, Environmental Sustainability, E-Commerce, and Crypto & Cryptology.
The inaugural session was presided over by Dr. M. M. Ramya, Dean, along with Dr. R. Surekha, Deputy Dean, and Dr. M. Venkataramanan, Director. The event also featured an engaging session by Mr. Nelson Kulandairaj, Chief Digital Officer, CIEL HR Services Ltd., and a motivational address by Mr. B. Manikandan, Founder and Managing Director of PREFCOL Education Solutions.
During the 24-hour challenge, the Nalanda Library Halltransformed into a hub of creativity as teams collaborated intensely to design, code, and present innovative prototypes. Mentors from TCS, CIEL, and PREFCOL guided participants in refining their ideas into practical solutions.
A distinguished panel of industry experts, academicians, and entrepreneurs evaluated the projects through a structured multi-phase judging process based on innovation, feasibility, technical execution, and social impact.
AMJ–Nexathon 2026 highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia and industry while providing students with an opportunity to apply their skills to real-world challenges, further strengthening A.M. Jain College’s commitment to fostering innovation and future-ready talent.
