CTTE Student Ms. Meenakshi Kannan Conferred Prestigious “Sangeetha Acharya” Title in Carnatic Music

Ms. Meenakshi Kannan, a final-year student of the Department of Accounting and Finance, Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women, was conferred the esteemed title of “Sangeetha Acharya” by the Swaralaya Academy of Fine Arts, functioning under the wings of the Guruguhalaya Trust on December 28, 2025.

In recognition of Ms. Meenakshi Kannan’s sustained dedication, disciplined practice, and selfless service to Carnatic music. The title acknowledges her distinguished contribution as a Carnatic Music Guru, highlighting her role in preserving, practising, and transmitting classical musical traditions through committed teaching and performance.
