Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women takes immense pride in announcing that its Anti-Drug Club has been awarded Second Place in the Chennai District Anti-Drug Club Awards (2024–2025). The honour was conferred by the Department of Prohibition and Excise, Government of Tamil Nadu, under the Chennai District Administration, in recognition of the Club’s sustained and impactful efforts towards creating a drug-free Tamil Nadu. The award ceremony, held at the Chennai District Collector’s Office on 3 November 2025, marked a proud milestone for the institution.

The CTTE Anti-Drug Club has been at the forefront of spreading awareness against substance abuse through street plays, rallies, interactive seminars, and poster campaigns that inspire responsible choices among young people. The Club’s continued outreach has effectively blended creativity with civic commitment, transforming awareness into purposeful action.
A special focus during the year was peer education—training student ambassadors as counsellors to help their peers manage stress and make informed life choices. To mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26 June, the Club organised a week-long awareness campaign featuring slogan-writing, essay competitions, and short films centred on the theme “Say No to Drugs.”
