CTTE College Hosts Delegates from Gujarat for Learning and Exposure Tour

Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women (CTTE), Perambur, Chennai, hosted the Principal, faculty, and delegates from Government Arts & Commerce College, Talala (Gir-Somnath), Gujarat, on September 8–9, 2025. The visit was organized as part of a Learning and Exposure cum Study Tour, a peer-learning visit,  aimed at promoting knowledge exchange and institutional collaboration in the areas of quality assurance, NAAC processes, and best practices in higher education.

The two-day programme began with a formal reception by the Principal, who highlighted the institution’s enduring ethos of women’s empowerment and holistic education. CTTE’s milestones, including its NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation, strong placement record, and community-oriented initiatives, were shared with the visiting team.

During the sessions, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) presented its quality initiatives such as academic audits and innovative assessment dashboards. It outlined the institution’s academic programmes, scholarship opportunities, and inclusive admission practices.

Delegates interacted with Heads of Departments, who emphasized faculty research, entrepreneurship training, and student-focused workshops. Visits to the library and green campus facilities showcased CTTE’s commitment to digital learning, accessibility, and sustainability through practices like rainwater harvesting, composting, and waste segregation, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

On the second day, the Centre for Faculty and Student Development (CFSD) demonstrated the  best practices, while laboratory visits highlighted the college’s robust ICT infrastructure, including ERP, UMIS, and Naan Mudhalvanplatforms. 

The visit concluded with a reflective session in which both institutions exchanged perspectives on quality enhancement mechanisms and explored possibilities for future academic collaboration.

Speaking on the occasion, the delegates appreciated CTTE’s commitment to empowering women through education, its integration of research and community engagement into academics, and its sustainable campus practices.

This collaborative exchange stands as a testament to CTTE’s vision of knowledge sharing, academic excellence, and institutional partnership, further strengthening its role as a progressive centre of higher education.
