Leadership is not just a role but a transformative journey rooted in purpose, integrity, and service at Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women. Embodying this vision, on July 17, 2025, the college inaugurated the Student Council, Clubs, Houses and CELLS for the academic year 2025 – 2026.
Mrs. N. Anuradha, Head, Department of Chemistry, welcomed the gathering, setting the stage for an event dedicated to empowering future leaders. The Investiture Ceremony, presided over by, Dr. K. Preetha, Dean of Students, Head, Department of Languages, emphasized the college’s core principles: Value, Knowledge, Skills, Quality, and Lifelong Learning. She emphasized that student engagement, leadership, and personal growth are vital to building a socially responsible academic community.
Principal Dr. S. Sridevi administered the oath, vocalising the students’ commitment to embodying leadership qualities and lifelong learning through the oath. The Managing Trustee and Correspondent, Thiru. L. Palamalai, IAS (Retd), reinforced the indispensable traits of effective leadership. His words resonated with the audience, highlighting the pivotal role of student leaders in shaping a brighter future for the college as well as the society.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks from Student Council President, Ms.Pooja V, who urged her peers to work towards the welfare of the student community and expressed gratitude for the support of students and faculty. Chevalier T. Thomas College for Women continues to champion student leadership and holistic development, paving the way for an enriching academic year ahead.
