We, Indian Community Welfare Organisation-I.C.W.O. a non governmental organisation working for various developmental projects with specific focus on women and children for the past 28 years in Chennai.
We ICWO – Indian Community Welfare Organisation with the support from The Mercury Phoenix Trust, UK developed Audio Album-1 title “Youth AIDS Awareness Chennai Gaana Songs”.
On 29th November 2022 the Audio Album title “Youth AIDS Awareness Chennai Gaana Songs” was released by Thiru.T.N.Hariharan, I.A.S., Project Director, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society- TNSACS on 29th November 2022 at 11:30a.m to 12 Noon, TNSACS Office, Egmore, Chennai on the eve of World AIDS Day 2022.
Thiru.T.N.Hariharan, I.A.S., Project Director, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society- TNSACS released the Poster. The First Copy of the Poster received by Thiru.Dr.M.Janakiram, MBBS MD, Deputy Director, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society- TNSACS and the Second Copy of the Poster received Thiru.S.Christy, Administrative Officer, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society- TNSACS and Dr.Poonkodi, Deputy Director – STI, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society- TNSACS.
Speaking the occasion Thiru.T.N.Hariharan, I.A.S., Project Director, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society- TNSACS said On this world AIDS day 2022 with the theme of Equalize let us work together to Reform laws, policies and practices to tackle the stigma and exclusion faced by people living with HIV and by key and marginalized populations, so that everyone is shown respect and is welcomed.
Speaking the occasion Thiru.Dr.M.Janakiram, Deputy Director, Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society- TNSACS said Communities should identify the inequalities they are facing and help the policy makers to address them and also ensure the sharing of technology to enable equal access to the best HIV science.
Speaking the occasion Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary-ICWO said that need of hour to focus on creating Awareness among young people. Aiming to reach the youth, we have identified Chennai Gaana Songs as a mode to create Awareness on HIV/AIDS among young people. Today we released 5 songs on the theme to STOP stigma discrimination against People living with HIV/AIDS, importance of Condom usage in HIV prevention and Awareness on the mode of transmission and ways to protect themselves. We ICWO developed the First Album in partnership with Mercury Phoenix Trust, UK.
We are also in the process of developing the video graph of the songs to promote in social media to reach more number of young people to create Awareness on HIV/AIDS.
The team who developed the Video and Audio Songs are Mr.A.R.Vinoth, Visuals, Gaana Lyrics Written by Mr.Attuthotti Kamalanathan and Mr.Gaana Sakthi. Singers Mr.Appilo, Mr.Vinayagan and Mr.Francis. Video Artist Mr.Gimkelly and Ms.Saritha. Music Directed by Mr.Shajahan and Directed by A.J.Hariharan.
The lyrics/Content approval committees members are Mr.A.Bakthavatchalam, Director-ARM, Mr.B.Sekar, Director-SWAM and Mr.B.U.Maheshwaran, Director, Network SMI.
