About 26 students underwent rigorous training by Space Kidz India for over 9 months before this launch. Students were taught everything about space, gravity in space, role of space stations specially unmanned space stations, satellites, building payloads , role of satellites in the future, coding of satellites , space research etc. they were also given hands on experience in building a payload. Earlier to this SRM Public School signed a MoU earlier in June 2023 with Space Kidz India for the same.
The SR-0 was aboard with ISRO’s latest SSLV-D3 Mission, Demo SAT, heading to a 475 km circular orbit. The satellite carries two groundbreaking payloads: a LoraM2M Messaging System developed by our students for long-range communication, and a Pin Diode-Based Dosimeter from AVS Academy to measure space radiation.
SRM PUBLIC SCHOOL, CHENNAI is making history asthe first Indian school to launch a payload in Space Rickshaw mode. The base station will be in our school, where students will conduct real-time observations.
