Sardar 2022, a cultural extravaganza was celebrated with much pomp and splendour at Agurchand Manmull Jain College, Meenambakkam this evening. The management had organised this grand fest in fond memory of their former Secretary Shri Sardarmull Chordia.
The intra-collegiate fest kickstarted around 10 am and there were 40 odd stalls by the young and energetic student entrepreneurs for . Jukebox was the favourite corner as the students grooved to various medleys from the DJs. With the huge crowd cheering , the students had great fun dedicating songs and dancing to different tunes.
Students thronged the appetizing food stalls and also the other stalls that had a variety of games as well as handicrafts and homemade soaps. The cultural events started at 3 pm with celebrities from various fields adorning the events as judges. Merriment and fun was at its peak as students partook in the multiple talent shows for them.
The students participants vied with each other making it really tougher for the judges. It was a spectacular and a fun-filled evening for those who were a part of this gala fest Sardar 2022. The campus came alive with the livewire performances of the talented students.
The sponsors for the cultural fest including Medopharm, A&A Electric Motor, IIKM MBA School, Go Colours, Zee Thamizh Dance Jodi Dance, Chennai Business School, Kurukshetra Business IAS Coaching centres had their stalls in the College cultural.
The event was bashful with celebrities of various walks of life gracing the event or entertaining the jubilant crowd. The Management felicitated the judges. The special invitees singers Mr. Vimal Raj Chordia and Ms. Anuradha Venkat judged the singing competitions.
Judges Ms. Anuradha Venkat and Mr. Vimalraj Chordia gave away the prizes for the winning teams of the music competition.
1st prize- Madness Team- 10,000 Rs cash prize
2nd prize- Crew 5 Rhythmic Stars- 5000 Rs cash prize
3rd place – Hip Hop Deerz- 2000 Rs cash Prize
Kathir (Vikram Vedha) had their glittering presence in the event.
The next programme was variety entertainment by the students. Leadership coach Krithika Ajay and Actor Sanjay Asrani judged the variety competition. The variety programme was stunning and one was adjudged the best of all spontaneously by the judges.
1st prize- Porkalai Veerargal- 10,000 Rs cash prize
2nd prize- Fit Tok- 5000 Rs cash prize
3rd place – Mastero Mimers- 2000 Rs cash Prize
Next the most awaited event of the day, the dance competition rocked the culturals. Choreographer Ms.Mansi Bhatt, Reality dance show Assistant Director Tamilarasan and Mr.Rahul judged the dance competitions.
The result of the dance competition were announced amidst huge crowd cheering.
Mr.Rahul made a surprise announcement that six dance performers were selected for second round of audition in Zee Tamizh’s Dance Jodi Dance.
1st prize- The Flexers – 10,000 Rs cash prize
2nd prize- Shadow Squad – 5000 Rs cash prize
3rd place – The Four Couples- 2000 Rs cash Prize
The valedictory was held in the presence of few more stars adorning the day. Mr. Sanjay Shankar, son of yesteryear actor Jaishankar and Mr.Rajkamal wound up the cultural fest with a press meet.
