Chennai, 18-August-2023: On the occasion of the 25th Silver Jubilee of Jaigopal Garodia Matriculation Higher Secondary School’s Department of History and Department of Commerce jointly organized an exhibition called Hiscom Utsav for school students.
More than 400 students from 31 schools in Chennai participated in the exhibition and displayed their projects. The Hiscom Utsav was inaugurated by Dr. Anita Raju, Head of Human Resource Development, TNQ Technologies and World Peace Commission Ambassador. Dr. S R Ramanan, former Director of Meteorological Research Center, felicitated the students who exhibited the best projects in the program by presenting prizes.
In this event, Chief Executive Trustee of Jaigopal GarodiaMatriculation Higher Secondary School Mr. Ashok Kedia, School Principal Mrs. R. Hemamalani, teachers, students and parents attended the exhibition.
During the Utsav, Mrs. R. Hemamalani, Principal, Jaigopal GarodiaMatriculation Higher Sec School said, “To succeed in today’s competitive world, students need a variety of additional skills beyond academics. Students who discover such potential at a young age find success easily. Keeping this in mind, Jaigopal GarodiaMatriculation Higher Secondary School is organizing various events to recognize the student’s additional skills on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. As a part of the Utsav, today our History department and Commerce departments jointly organized a HiscomUtsav program for the students. We are delighted to have over 400 students from over 31 schools in and around Chennai participating in this event. I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the special guests who participated in the event. Also, I would like to express my appreciation to the teachers who have helped to make this event a successful one.”
To inculcate the student’s talent, the school organised various events like fancy dress, Elocution, Digital Logo Design, Project Exhibit,Group song, Stamp Designing, Power Point presentation and ADZAP where students from 31 schools participated and exposed their creativity. Dr S.R.Ramanan , Indian Meteorologist , Former Director of Cyclone warning centre presided over the valedictory function and through seminar, gave some guidance to the students on disaster management through its speech and also presented the prizes to the winners who displayed the best creativity work in the event.
