Chennai, August 2023: The Hindustan Group of Institutions organized The India Day, Chennai Bike Rally 2023 at its Bay Range Campus, Padur to celebrate 76 years of Indian Independence. The event hosted 76 Bikers, riding 76 Km carrying the tricolour flag from Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Padur to Hindustan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Paddapai and back to HITS, Padur.
Mr. Soundararaja, Actor and Social Activist, Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman, HGI, Mr. Ashok Verghese, Vice President, HGI, and other officials of the institution flagged off the rally at Padur. One of the standout moments of the event was the ceremonial planting of a tree measuring 7.6 feet in height at the HIET campus, symbolizing India’s transformative journey over the last 76 years, serving as a tribute to the strides the nation has taken on the global platform, exhibiting India’s potential.
During this event, students and staff of the Hindustan Group of Institutions were holding signages and placards mentioning #Say_No_To_Drugs creating awareness about the Drug menace and combating it in line with the mission of the Tamil Nadu Government “Tamil Nadu Without Drugs” which is to eradicate drugs among youngsters.
This initiative organized by the Hindustan Group of Institutions, aimed to honor the ingenious contributions of countless individuals whose collective efforts have steered India towards becoming the vibrant and progressive nation it is today. Beyond celebration, the event served as a platform to ignite a sense of patriotism among the youth, encouraging them to channel their boundless energies into fortifying and uniting the nation.
