Global Welfare Foundation which completed its 2nd anniversary has successfully organized the “23rdFree Cataract Eye Camp in association with Sankara Nethralaya. The Global Welfare Foundation being a non-profitable, non-governmental organization, endeavoring to facilitate the “Well Being” of the less privileged of the society and add values to their lives. Global Welfare foundation in association with Sri Jain Swetamber Terapanth Trust, Triplicane, Chennai and Sankara Nethralaya organized Free eye camp for cataract screening to less privileged public.
The Free Eye checkup commenced today at Sri Jain SwetamberTerapanth Trust at 9AM to 1.00PM for the less privileged people of Chennai.
Mr.Srinivasan Lingeswaran, Founder & Managing Trustee, Global Welfare Foundation, said today we have organized Free Eye Camp with Sankara Nethralaya and screened more than 300 walk-in OPDs underprivileged people held in the Sri Jain SwetamberTerapanth campus in Chennai. It was notified that up to 45 Nos. of patients are diagnosed and will be taken for cataract surgery in Sankara Nethralaya at free of cost for less privileged people.
In Six-months’ time Global Welfare Foundation in association with Sankara Nethralaya have conducted more than 20 Nos. of Eye camps throughout Tamilnadu and screened more than 750 patients for cataract surgery. We thank each and every one of you for guiding the less privileged of the society to get benefitted by this camp!
