Chennai, 15 March: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Tamil Nadu honoured leading Industrial organisations for their outstanding contribution to the society and the economy at the Session on “Honouring Industry Trendsetters in Tamil Nadu” organised as part of the CII Tamil Nadu Annual Meeting in Chennai on Thursday.
The Industry Trendsetters honours were given under 6 categories – Gender Diversity, Going Global, Employee Welfare, Business Innovation, Social Impact & Sustainability.
“CII is committed to promoting excellence in Indian industry and recognizes the importance of innovation and leadership in driving growth and progress of the nation. Initiatives like these align with the objectives of CII in motivating the Industries to innovate and contribute more to the society and effectively”, said Mr B Santhanam, Past Chairman, CII Southern Region & CEO – APAC & India Region & Chairman, Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd while addressing the session.
Mr Santhanam, presented the Honours to Isuzu Motors India Private Limited, Chennai and Thriveni Earth Movers Pvt Ltd, Salem for their achievements towards Gender Diversity; K7 Computing, Chennai and ZF Commercial Vehicle Controls Systems India Ltd, Chennai for Going Global; KOB Medical Textile, Tirupur for Employee Welfare; Kauvery Hospitals, Trichy and Shree Renga Polymers, Karur for Business Innovation; SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Trichy and Thriveni Earth Movers India Pvt Ltd, Salem for Social Impact and Nitin Wirenetting India Pvt Ltd, Chennai towards initiatives on Sustainability.
