செவாலியர் டி தாமஸ் எலிசபெத் மகளிர் கல்லூரியில்15.8.2024 அன்று 78ஆவது சுதந்திர தின விழாகொண்டாடப்பட்டது. நாட்டுப் பற்றை மாணவர்களிடம்ஆழமாக வேரூன்றச் செய்வதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு பலநிகழ்வுகள் இதில் இடம் பெற்றன. விக்சித் பாரத் எனும்தலைப்பில் இந்நிகழ்வு கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.  சுதந்திரஇந்தியாவின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் வளமைக்கும் ஆக்கப்பூர்வமானசெயல்பாடுகள் நடைபெற வேண்டும் என்பதை கருத்தாககொண்டது இத்தலைப்பு. அன்று காலை 8.30 மணியளவில்கல்லூரி முதல்வர் அவர்கள் கொடி ஏற்றினார்.பேராசிரியர்கள், மாணவர்கள் அனைவரும் கொடி வணக்கம்செய்தனர். சுதந்திர தின சிறப்பு நிகழ்ச்சியை வேதியியல்துறை மாணவிகள் ஏற்று நடத்தினர். சுதந்திர தின விழாவில்தேசப் பற்று கொண்ட நிகழ்வுகளை மாணவிகள் வழங்கினர். நமது இந்தியத் திருநாட்டின் பாரம்பரியத்தையும்மதிப்பையும் வெளிப்படுத்துவதாக இருந்தது. தமிழ் மற்றும்ஆங்கிலத்தில் பிறரை கவரும் வண்ணம் மாணவிகள்உரையாற்றினர். மாணவர்களின் மனதில் எழுச்சிஏற்படுத்தக்கூடிய வகையில் சிறப்புப் பட்டிமன்றம்நடைபெற்றது. K.R.M பள்ளியின் தமிழ்த் துறைத் தலைவர்திரு. எம். சங்கர் அவர்கள் நடுவராகப் பங்கேற்றார்.கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் விடுதலைப் போராட்டத்தில்வடசென்னையின் பங்களிப்பைக் குறிப்பிட்டுப் பேசினார்.நிகழ்ச்சியின் நிறைவாக மாணவிகள் சுதந்திர தினப்பேரணியை நடத்தி நாட்டுப் பற்றை வெளிப்படுத்தினர்.சி.டி.டி.இ. மகளிர் கல்லூரி நவீன இந்தியாவின் வளர்ச்சிக்குஇளைய தலைமுறையை உருவாக்கும் முயற்சியில் பெரிதும்ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறது.
