A Melodious Evening for a Noble Cause

Chennai: On the enchanting evening of July 27, 2024, AIM for Seva brought to life the divine celebration of “Hé Govind: An Ode to Krishna” at The Music Academy, Chennai.

This soul-stirring concert, featuring the illustrious Jayateerth Mevundi, Pravin Godkhindi, and a stellar ensemble of musicians, captivated the hearts of all attendees, creating an unforgettable night of devotion and music.

AIM FOR SEVA
Founded by the revered Pujyasri Swami Dayananda Saraswati in 2000, AIM for Seva is a pan-Indian public charitable trust committed to transforming society through a network of seva. Our flagship project, Chatralayams (Free Student Hostels), established in 2001, aims to provide equal opportunities to children from impoverished rural and tribal areas. Over the past two decades, AIM for Seva has positively impacted the lives of over 20 million people across India, steadfast in our mission to support and uplift those in need.

THE CONCERT
“Hé Govind” was a symphony of devotion, a celebration of Sri Krishna through a selection of bhajans and abhangs, blending classical and semi-classical styles. The evening featured compositions from revered saints and seers, including those by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

THE CAUSE: SWAMI DAYANANDA KRUPA HOME
This edition of “Hé Govind” was dedicated to supporting the Swami Dayananda Krupa Home, a sanctuary offering lifelong care for adult men with developmental delays and disabilities. The inspiration for this home arose when Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati encountered parents of special children, burdened with the haunting question, “Who after me?” Krupa Home stands as a loving answer, providing a safe, nurturing environment where these individuals can live with dignity and joySet within a lush 10-acre campus, Krupa Home offers thoughtfully planned facilities and compassionate care for men aged 18 to 65.
