Good News for Riders & Drivers: Uber awarded aggregator license in Kerala

Kochi : March , 2026: People in Kerala can soon experience the magic of Uber in the state. Bringing cheer to riders looking for affordable, safer, and reliable rides and drivers seeking flexible earning opportunities, Uber has been awarded the aggregator licence from the Government of Kerala under the Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines, 2020, enabling the company to continue and expand its operations in the state.Since its entry in India in 2013, Uber has evolved from a four-wheeler ride-hailing platform to a multi-modal mobility solution, offering a range of services including autos, bikes, and cars – helping meet diverse mobility needs across more than 125 Indian cities. With the license issued by the Transport Commissionerate, Government of Kerala, Uber can now roll-out the same magical experience for riders and drivers in the region. Amit Deshpande, Head of Cities, Uber India and South Asia, said: “We are pleased to secure the aggregator licence in Kerala that gives us the opportunity to serve the mobility needs of the community here.
