Assam Workers and Cultural Society, Chennai Commemorates Zubeen Garg’s Birthday with Acts of Service
The Assam Workers and Cultural Society, Chennai observed the birthday of renowned Assamese singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg in a unique and meaningful way this year.
To honour his lifelong commitment to compassion and social service, the Society organised a series of charitable activities that reflected the values Zubeen deeply cherished.
As part of the commemoration:
Food supplies were donated to a local orphanage in Chennai, echoing Zubeen Garg’s love for supporting children and the underprivileged.
Financial assistance was also extended to an Assamese patient undergoing treatment at a city hospital, keeping in spirit with the humanitarian work Zubeen frequently engaged in.
“These initiatives were our humble way of paying tribute to Zubeen da, who always believed in kindness, empathy, and helping those in need,” said Manoj Kumar Sharma, President, Assam Spiritual Society, Chennai, who was present at the remembrance programme.
The Assam Workers and Cultural Society, Chennai expressed that such acts of service will continue to be their way of honouring Zubeen Garg’s enduring legacy and inspiring others to carry forward his message of humanity.
