Chennai, July 2025: Gleneagles Hospital Chennai a leading name in advanced multi-speciality healthcare launched the Gleneagles Eye Centre (GEC) at its flagship 14-acre campus in Perumbakkam, marking a major milestone of its Ophthalmology Services. The new facility is a comprehensive, integrated centre that brings advanced eye care under one roof, from diagnostics and consultation to surgery and post-operative care. Dr Sudha Seshayyan, Vice Chairperson of the Central Institute of Classical Tamil and Director, SASTRA University, Chennai inaugurated the centre today in the presence ofDr E Ravindra Mohan, Director, Gleneagles Eye Centre and Dr Nageswar Rao K, CEO, Gleneagles Hospitals Chennai.
The centre offers a wide spectrum of sub-specialties including Retina Services, Cornea Services, Oculoplastic and Orbit Centre, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Computer Vision Clinic, and Neuro-Ophthalmology in collaboration with the Institute of Neurosciences. It also houses a Facial Aesthetic Clinic in partnership with the Institute of Plastic Surgery and Ocular Oncology Services in collaboration with the Institute of Oncology.
