Madurai, 2nd December 2024: The 9th Edition of the SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest (AGC) was held on 1ST December 2024 at Thamukam Ground Convention Centre, Madurai, Tamil Nadu . This earmarked a significant milestone with participation of more than 3000 children from 220 schools across Tamil Nadu. Close to 82,000 students attended the competition across Tamil Nadu in the preliminary round. From that round 30,000 was selected for Zonal round. From the Zonal round 3,000 toppers were selected for the State Round.
The SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest is an annual competition designed to inspire a love for arithmetic among young learners and to create awareness about the importance of skill development. This year, at All India level the contest witnessed a record-breaking participation of over 6 lakh students, representing 1,450+ schools across 23 states.
State Round Test Format and Results
● Eligibility: Open to students of Classes 1 to 5.
● Test Details:
○ Duration: 10 minutes.
○ Number of Sums: 200.
● Awards:
○ Cash prizes, trophies, and certificates were awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners in each class.
● Selection for National Finals:
○ The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners from each class in the State Round Finals have qualified for the National Round Finals, scheduled to be held on 19th January 2025 in Chennai.
