Chennai, October 2024 – Heartfulness International School, Omega Branch (formerly Lalaji Memorial Omega International School) successfully concluded its annual festival of Performing Arts, Kalanjali 2024, held at the prestigious Narada Gaana Sabha.
This year’s event featured “Bhu Viplava – The Restless Earth,” a contemporary dance drama production directed by the acclaimed Indian Classical Dancer Dr. Anita Ratnam. The performance captivated the audience, highlighting themes of love, compassion, kindness, and respect for all life on Earth.
Kalanjali, a student-driven initiative, serves to preserve Indian culture and tradition while providing an enriching experience for viewers. The festival celebrated the arts and imparted practical event management skills to students, helping them connect deeply with their cultural heritage.
Students of HIS, Omega Branch welcomed the audience with a traditional folk rendition, followed by a warm welcome for the artists with bouquets. The event recognized its sponsors, showcased the engaging dance drama presentation, and concluded with the felicitation of Dr. Anita Ratnam and the dedicated performers, along with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
Kalanjali 2024 demonstrated a commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, motivating youth to reflect on their relationship with Mother Nature and encouraging them to become change leaders for the future.
