JCI India Launches Clean Plate Challenge To Create Awareness on Zero Food Wastage

Chennai, Feb 2023: JCI Hosur Lake City, as part of JCI India has launched CLEAN PLATE CHALLEGE 2023 which aims to ensure Zero Food Wastage. JC Balaganesh (Bali), a Nature Photographer Traveller along with Dr.Rajani, Honorary Member Author Traveller of JCI Hosur City are spearheading this noble initiative. The team is planning to visit 28 States covering 18,000 kms in 80 days meeting young school and college students across the country.

As part of this initiative, the team today visited Chennai and JCI Chennai Synergy Kings was pleased to host the team. The entire team including JCI Chennai Synergy Kings members visited Chennai schools and spoke on Empowering Young minds.

As per the programme, they visited Bhaktavatchalam Memorial College for Women, Korattur and Hussainy High School, Ramapuram. At both the places, the team interacted with the students and spoke on the importance of zero food wastage. The students were impressed and said that they will avoid food wastage both at schools and homes. The students also promised to create awareness on Clean Plate Challenge among the fellow student groups.

JC Balaganesh later addressed the reporters and said that this program will make the students as good citizens. It will also eradicate poverty and our country’s GDP will increase dramatically. He will also meet marriage halls, community centres as the next level of action.

Jc KS Saravanan, President-JCI Chennai Synergy Kings, Jc Vivek Raja, Charter President-JCI CSK, Jc Kanchana, VP PR & Marketing, Jc Mohan, Secretary and other members attended the event.
