Indian Bank Officers’ Association, raised on 26th August 1963, is stepping into its 60th year. 

Chennai, 29th August 2022: To commemorate the 60th Anniversary, Indian Bank Officer’s Association held its 7th Triennial Conference and Diamond Jubilee Celebration  atRani Meyyammai Hall, Egmore, Chennai.

The conference was inaugurated by Shri. Shanti Lal Jain, MD & CEO of Indian Bank.  

Shri PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Government of Tamilnadu, graced the occasion and delivered the keynote address.

He emphasized that the Public Sector Banks should widen their credit reach to strengthen themselves. He further said that digitization and technology is going to be here and order of the future. So, the Banks should embrace and use the technology to strengthen their KYC.  

He said that the legacy of his government’s connection with Indian Bank and its employees would continue, as it started and continues from the days of their leader Dr.KalaignarKarunanithi, former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. He said it is this legacy that made the Chief Minister Thiru M K Stalin, advising him to ensure that he participates in this event. The Chief Minister has conveyed his wishes for the success of the conference.

Shri Imran Amin Siddiqui and Shri. Ashwani Kumar, both Executive Directors of the Bank, Com. Soumya Datta, General Secretary & Com. Muruali Soundararajan, President of All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) greeted the conference.

Com S Mohanraj was elected to President and Com R Sekaran was elected as General Secretary of the Association for the ensuing term of 2022-2025.
