Chennai, India – September 2024: The highly anticipated 5th Edition of the India International EV Show (IIEV) has been officially inaugurated today at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam. The event was graced by chief guest Thiru T.M. Anbarasan Minister of MSME -Tamil Nadu, alongside prominent industry leaders Swami Prem Anveshi, Managing Director, Futurex Group, Dr Shailendra Saro, Chairman, International Federation of Electric Vehicle Association, Abhijeet Sinha, Project Director, National Highways for EV and Mr. Mukesh Yadav, Project Head, Futurex Group.
The event is poised to attract more than 12,000 visitors, cementing its status as India’s premier EV event.
The three-day event, from September 6th to 8th, has brought together over 100 exhibitors and brands from several other countries, providing a comprehensive showcase of cutting-edge electric vehicles, battery technologies, and charging infrastructure innovations. IIEV 2024 is set to attract more than 12,000 visitors, positioning itself as India’s premier platform for industry professionals, manufacturers, and consumers.
Key Highlights of IIEV 2024:

The event is being organized by Futurex Group, with strong support from industry bodies such as the Global Automotive Research Centre, International Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations (IFEVA), Society for Smart E-Mobility (SSEM), and more. In addition, the Tamil Nadu Government’s Facilitating MSME’s of Tamil Nadu (FaMeTN) and Tamil Nadu EV Task Force have lent their support, solidifying the event’s significance on a national scale.

Tech Trial Run and World EV Day On September 9th, as part of World EV Day, the Tech Trial Run III will kick off with an EV Rally from Chennai to Trichy. This test run will assess the viability of electric SUVs and buses for long-distance travel, providing key insights for the industry’s future.
