In a significant milestone for Tamil Nadu’s innovation ecosystem, JOGO, a Chennai-based health technology startup recognised by the American Urological Association and leading gastroenterology associations in the United States, is marking Women’s Day with a month-long Free Women’s Pelvic Health Consultation Camp.
The free consultations will be conducted from March 5 to March 31, 2026, between 4 pm and 7 pm, at JOGO’s Chennai centre in Adyar. The initiative focuses on addressing commonly ignored yet impactful concerns such as urinary leakage and chronic constipation—conditions that silently affect women across age groups.
The consultations will be led by Dr. Uma Venkatesa, PT, Head of Pelvic Floor Therapy, a specialist in women’s pelvic health and rehabilitation. The camp aims at early identification, personalised guidance, and non-invasive management strategies to help women regain comfort, confidence, and control in their daily lives.
JOGO’s international recognition underscores its pioneering work in digital pelvic floor rehabilitation—an area of women’s health that remains widely underdiagnosed and underserved in India. Studies suggest that nearly one in two women in Tamil Nadu experience pelvic floor disorders such as pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence, often linked to the absence of structured postpartum rehabilitation.
Building on its global validation, JOGO is also set to introduce digital pelvic floor rehabilitation programmes for young mothers across Tamil Nadu through Government Health Centers, focusing on early postpartum intervention and preventive care.
The initiative has drawn appreciation from Dr. P. SenthilKumar, I.A.S, Principal Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare, who congratulated the team on their international recognition and extended his best wishes for the programme rollout.
By combining global recognition with grassroots impact, JOGO’s Women’s Day initiative aims to break the silence around pelvic health and encourage women to seek timely medical support in a safe and confidential environment.
