Chennai (SRO), January 2026: The Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI), Hyderabad, established in 1964 under Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs and later brought under BPR&D, MHA, in the year 1973.
Bureau of Indian Standards has recently granted licence to CDTI, Hyderabad, as per IS ISO 21001: 2018 – Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS), after due verification of its implementation which is valid for a period of three years, from 05 December 2025 to 04 December 2028.
On 06 February 2026, during a training programme organized by CDTI for officers from the Sri Lankan Police, Indian Paramilitary Forces, and Telangana Police, BIS formally presented the Certificate of Grant of Licence under IS ISO 21001:2018. Shri Sandeep Kumar Kanogia, Deputy Director General (Southern Region), Bureau of Indian Standards, attended the event as the Chief Guest and presented the EOMS certification to Shri Salman Taj Patil, IPS, Director, CDTI, Hyderabad.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Sandeep Kumar Kanogia, congratulated CDTI on grant of EMOS certification from BIS. He also appreciated the commendable efforts of CDTI in imparting high-quality training to officers of the Indian and Sri Lankan Police, particularly in enhancing their capabilities to handle criminal cases effectively and efficiently.
Shri G. Venkatanarayanan, Management Systems Coordinating Officer, BIS, Southern Region, attended the programme as a Special Guest. Shri K.K.V. Reddy, IPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, played a key role in successfully coordinating the establishment and implementation of the EOMS at CDTI, Hyderabad. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri AVLN Chari, Deputy Superintendent of Police.
