Chennai, November 2025
The BVK Group, in collaboration with the Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India (EU India Chambers) hosted an exclusive “Outreach Programme” followed by a Networking Dinner at the WELCOME HOTELS by ITC Group on Cathedral Road, Chennai. Aimed at fostering Business Collaboration, this high-profile event brought together key business leaders who shared insights to foster greater understanding and collaboration between the countries.

The EU India Chambers is the country’s sole Chamber covering all EU member states, serving as a crucial organisation for enhancing trade relations with the largest trading partner. With over 1,100 members including 253 European companies, the Chambers offer a pan-India and Europe reach, providing institutional linkages to Indian Ministries, EU Embassies, and Government Agencies.

Mr. Robin Banerjee, Sr. Vice-President, EU Chambers, Chairman, Nucleon Research Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Renu Shome – Director General, EU Chambers, Dr. Uday Salunkhe – Board Member, EU Chambers and Group Director, Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool) and Dr. Bala Kutti Board Member, EU Chambers, Founder, Indus Finance Ltd. – BVK Group addressed the gathering and shared valuable learnings.
The participants had a good interaction with the leadership team. Topics addressed at the event included understanding business priorities, addressing challenges and identifying potential areas of co-operation besides facilitating strategic networking.

Robin Banerjee said, ” The EU India Chambers is the only chamber in India that promotes B2B trade between Europe and India. Out of 27 countries in the EU, only a few have bi-lateral chambers and so there is a lot of potential. As a chamber, besides trade, we also help in solving problems that companies face . We have a strong shopping and logistics committee and have launched 24×7 website service where mostly problems are solved quickly.”

Speaking of the chamber’s activities, “Renu Shome said ” We provide networking opportunities, promote member companies, organise exclusive events such as conferences, provide policy support and more. We have signed MoUs with countries such as Bulgaria, Slovania and so on. We also connect with the Government and also host diplomats and groups from the EU.”

Dr. Uday Salunkhe spoke about opportunities in Academia and sustainability, “Academia should be positive and proactive to draw in opportunities. The era of sustainability is also here and concepts like the circular economy have picked up. Co-creating is the future.”

Dr. Bala Kutti says, “There has been a lot of trade between Tamilnadu and the EU especially in areas like car manufacturing, railway components and so on. We are a platform that is a common representative between both and also promote knowledge exchange and so on.”
