Chennai, June 30: TEDx Hindustan University concluded successfully, leaving over 500 attendees engaged and inspired after a day of thought-provoking ideas and meaningful insights. The event, themed, Innovate and Evolve, delivered on its promise to bring together nine remarkable individuals whose groundbreaking work spans from the cosmos to the operating room, from championship arenas to cutting-edge laboratories.
The event witnessed standing ovations, meaningful moments, and conversations that will resonate beyond the HITS’ Andromeda auditorium walls.
Dr. Ravi Margasahayam, Aerospace Engineer at NASA, mesmerized attendees with behind-the-scenes stories of NASA’s programs, revealing how ordinary individuals transform into space explorers through extraordinary dedication. He said, “Mentoring aspiring astronauts has shown me the power of curiosity and discipline. It is deeply fulfilling to help shape space ambitions in India and to encourage young minds to reach beyond the stars with clarity and commitment.”
Dr. V. Chockalingam, Senior Cardiologist, with his account of revolutionary cardiac procedures that have saved thousands of lives, demonstrated medical innovation directly impacts human destiny. He said, “There is a strong link between happiness, mental wellness, and physical fitness. These elements together form the foundation of a healthy heart and a balanced life”

Other speakers, like Ramesh Vinayakam, Music Composer and Inventor of the Gamaka Box, energized the audience with a live demonstration of his innovative Gamaka Box, Dr. Ashmita B Moturi, Founder of Nine O2 Detox, unveiled cutting-edge healthcare innovations that promise to transform patient care globally and Lt. Gen. Bobby Mathews, Executive Director of Hindustan International School and Ms. Isabelle Hasledar, Director at HQ Leadership International, provided strategic leadership wisdom.
The lineup also included Ms. Afshan Fathima, International MMA Champion, who spoke about resilience and overcoming challenges; Dr. M. Jaikumar, Project Lead at IURC–EU and Professor at HITS, who addressed the value of global research; and Mr. Raveen Raj, Femto Satellite Record Holder, who shared insights into space innovation and micro-satellite development.
