Daikin New Office Facility and Experience Centre Inaugurated at Chennai

Chennai, 19th May 2025: Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, and the market leader in India’s air-conditioning industry, today announced the grand inauguration of its new regional office and state-of-the-art Daikin Experience Center at Arumbakkam, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai. The event was marked by significant enthusiasm and marked a milestone in Daikin’s continued investment in the Tamil Nadu market.

This newly inaugurated office space is a testament to Daikin’s confidence in the Chennai market and its commitment to delivering top-quality experiences to discerning customers in the region. With Daikin’s growing brand strength across Tamil Nadu, this facility reinforces its dedication to excellence and operational elegance.

The new office will house various key functions including Product Sales, Service, Technical Support, and other Support Departments, serving as a comprehensive support hub for customers and channel partners alike. Recognizing Tamil Nadu as a key growth market, Daikin is committed to continued investment aimed at market development and share expansion.

Reiterating its commitment to the Indian market, Daikin India recently inaugurated its third R&D centre at Neemrana, Rajasthan. Spanning 24,000 square meters (6 acres), this state-of-the-art facility will employ over 500 engineers focused on research and the development of customized HVACR products tailored to meet evolving energy standards, advanced technologies, and eco-friendly refrigerant requirements for both Indian and global consumers.

The new R&D centre features 22 advanced testing labs, equipped to develop a full range of HVACR solutions. It is designed to significantly enhance Daikin’s manufacturing competitiveness, particularly in meeting the growing export demands of overseas markets. Among its standout capabilities is one of India’s largest air-cooled chiller test laboratories, boasting a 600 TR testing capacity, representing a major advancement in the HVAC sector. Established with a total investment of INR 500 Crore, this facility is Daikin’s third development centre in India, complementing its existing Mechanical R&D Centre in Neemrana and AI-IoT Lab in Hyderabad.
