Jyotika, who has been making waves with her powerful roles and a predominant name in the Tamil film industry, won Best Supporting Actress for her stellar performance in web series Dabba Cartel. The actress, who recently impressed audiences with her intense portrayal in the Bollywood thriller Shaitaan, added yet another feather to her cap.
In addition to Jyotika, Abishek Kumar won Breakthrough Performance Male award, for his leading role in Tamil web series Thalaivettiyan Palayam. His performance as a young city-bred officer grappling to adhere to village life, brought much needed laughs and drama to viewers.
The best of the South film industry – including Jyotika, Abishek Kumar, Nimisha Sajayan, Kani Kusruti, Sriimurali, Rana Daggubati and Parvathy Thiruvothu – were honoured for their stellar work on OTT at the prestigious OTTplay Awards 2025, which was held at JW Marriott, Sahar, Mumbai on March 22.
