Chennai , 24th March 2025 : The 8th biennial International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICONN-2025), a premier global event was organized and successfully completed its latest edition, bringing together leading researchers, industry experts, and academicians to discuss groundbreaking advancements in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology by the Department of Physics and Nanotechnology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, co-sponsored by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), WILEY, Springer Nature USA, Malvern Panalytical Spectrics Pvt. Ltd., Netherlands, in association with Shizuoka University, Japan; University of Paris Cite, France, National Yang Ming Chiao University, Taiwan University of Malaya, Malaysia Rigas Technical University, Latvia Flinders University, Australia University of Tasmania, Australia Mordovia State University, Russia, Nanotechnology Research Center (NRC), SRMIST .The conference was aimed at a diverse range of keynote addresses, technical sessions, and panel discussions covering topics such as materials at reduced dimensional scale, nanofabrication, nanoelectronics, energy applications, and emerging nanomedicine technologies. Researchers presented pioneering work in energy harvesting, nanocomposites, catalysts, two-dimensional materials, and to name a few, pushing the boundaries of fundamental science and technological innovation. The event also provided a platform for young scientists and students to showcase their research, fostering collaboration across disciplines. With a strong focus on sustainable nanotechnology and real-world applications, ICONN continues to drive innovation in the field of physics of materials, nanoscience and nanotechnology. More than 30 scientific sessions were held with eminent speakers from renowned international institutions . Prof. C.
