Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus organised a workshop on ‘Magnifying LSRW Skills’ by Shri Bhaskaran Krishnamoorthy, writer, columnist and media educationist held at the CNR Hall of Excellence on 21st July,2022 for Classes 6 to 8.
The Resource person briefed the students about the four core skills of language and how to effectively implement it to aquire language fluency. He discussed the various reading strategies as it gives an immense amount of Knowledge, Techniques on Listening as the Primary Skill that makes every human sensible was intrinsically motivating. Further, the students also learnt the elements of good speaking to enable them enhance the readiness to express their views.The aspects of writing and the principles of writing process were discussed.
Various tasks and activities, quiz, 1min talk , framing short stories etc. were conducted in a well organised manner.
He concluded on the note that proficiency in each of the four language skill is essential to become a well-rounded communicator.
