State-level Thirukkural Elocution, Drawing & Essay Contests forward School and College Students

Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam, the literary wing of Shriram group, one of India’s leading non-banking financial companies, is organizing Thirukkural Elocution, Drawing & Essay Contests 2023, the annual state-level competition from 7^thOct. to 19^th Nov. 2023, for school and college students across 12 centres covering Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. 

The Chennai zone competitions will be held at CSI Jessie Moses Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Anna Nagar on 7^th Oct. 2023 and at Christ King Girls Higher Secondary School, East Tambaram on 14^thOct. 2023; Puducherry zone competition will be held at St. Anthony’s High School,Maraimalai Adigal Road on 15^th Oct. 2023. Thecontest at other cities will be held as follows: Vellore on 8^th Oct. 2023, Tanjore on 21^st Oct. 2023, Thiruvarur on 22^nd Oct. 2023, Salem on 28^th Oct. 2023, Trichy on 29^th Oct. 2023, Nellai on 4^th Nov. 2023, Madurai on 5^th Nov. 2023, Coimbatore on 18^th Nov. 2023, Erode on 19^th Nov. 2023.

Last date for submitting the filled in application form is 30^th Sep. 2023.

The contestants will be divided into 3 groups – Juniors (Classes: 6-8), Seniors (Classes: 9-12)and College (UG, PG, Engineering, Medical and Polytechnic students). 

It is worth mentioning that Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam has been conducting this competition every year since 1988 with the view of enhancing awareness on the teachings of Thirukkural among the student community in the State.
