Chennai, 22nd October 2023: Kauvery Hospital Alwarpetand Vadapalani Chennai, a unit of Kauvery Group of Hospitals, a leading multispecialty healthcare chain in Tamil Nadu organized a bike rally along with Women MotosportClub, to create awareness on breast cancer. The rally was flagged off from Kauvery Hospital Vadapalani by ThiruPrabhakara Raja, MLA Virugambakkam Constituency and Thiru Suresh Kumar, IAS and Mr Kingsley Director of Operations, Kauvery Hospital Vadapalani. The rally culminated at RA Puram Corporation Playground where the bikers were felicitated.
“Almost 60% of women visit the hospital when they have reached the advanced stage of cancer. It is important to be aware of the early signs and symptoms of breast cancer to help in early diagnosis and better outcomes. Therefore, every year the aim is to create awareness on early detection, symptoms/signs and self-examination. We are pleased to associate with Women Motosport Club for the noble initiative, Dr Iyappan Ponnuswamy Medical Director Kauvery Hospital Chennai.

A Mammogram Van was also stationed at the program to encourage screening for breast cancer.
