The country’s first iconic noodle bar has expanded its wings and opened an outlet in a kiosk format at Highway Food Street. For years, Wai Wai’s instant noodles have had a popular and committed following amongst school and college students. Taking the next step in its evolution, the iconic noodle brand brings to you Wai Wai City – a ready to eat noodle bar – giving your favourite noodles an appetizing make-over in various flavours to choose from. This brings the brand closer to the consumer, giving them multiple options along with making the space a preferred nook for friends to catch up and enjoy their favourite snack.
The menu offers an array of noodle dishes cooked in interesting styles influenced by Oriental flavours, giving noodle lovers a host of new ways to consume this cult snack. The live kitchen has four types of noodles such as Classic, Chopsuey, Roasted and Pan Fried, seven sauces, which are, Soy Garlic, Kung Pao, Masala Fusion,Hot Garlic, Pepper Soya, Spicy Teriyaki, Schezwan Chilli, eighteen vegetables, ten toppings and five add-ons to choose from. It is an aromatic experience as well as a visual treat to see each dish being prepared with fresh ingredients right in front of your eyes. The menu takes you through an Oriental journey with its Signature Selection for you to binge on, such as Bang Bang, with spicy Schezwan Chilli sauce and Kung Pao Delight – served with pan fried noodles and piquant Kung pao sauce. Other highlights from the menu include flavourful fusions like the momosa, the Wai Wai Bhel, and the delectable zucchini masala fries. But that’s not all. Staying close to their tag line of ‘Keep Discovering’, ‘Make Your Own Dish’ let’s you create your own favourite noodle bowl just the way you like it.
The noodle bar in Velachery creates a lively and inviting environment, detaching it from the city outside and providing a quirky tangent with its contemporary design elements. The vibrant colours of the kiosk reflect the personality of the brand and grab eyeballs from afar, maintaining a balance between the colourful graphics while operating in a functional space.
India’s first in its category, the chain promises a unique and exciting noodle bar experience. The QSR format has already started to roll out through the franchise channel, with an estimated expansion investment of INR 250 crore and 1500 outlets over the next five years across multiple markets.
Wai Wai City will be spread across the following formats – food courts, self-standing kiosks, standalone outlets, highway formats and an integrated format. These formats will be developed across malls, information technology (IT) parks, offices, airports, hospitals, colleges, high streets, etc. It will offer noodles in a host of flavours at pocket-friendly prices. The noodle bars are already operational in Delhi NCR with 3 outlets, Pune, Siliguri, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad in a stand-alone and kiosk format with an open live kitchen has now branched out to Velachery, Chennai as well, with Pune’s second outlet, Kolkata, Vadodara and Mumbai in the pipeline.
