South Indian’s leading jewellery brand, Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers, trains Sanjoy Pramanik injewellery designing in their creative centre. Sanjoy represented India in the International world skills forum and won a Bronze medal in the Global Skill Challenge Australia, 2019 under the category, Jewellery designing and manufacturing.
The WorldSkills India Team brought home two silver and two bronze medals. Among the winner is a champ from Chennai who was trained under the supervision of the Subject Matter Expert, Anupam Karmokar of Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers. Sanjoy Pramanik was among 22 participants who represented India in 21 skill trades at the competition from the 10th to 14th of April, 2019.
The team representing India in 2019 Global Skills Challenge has covered a long journey to compete at this international platform in Australia. All the 22 participants from India, including 5 medalists, have been medal winners in their respective skill trades at the India Skills National Finale, that was held in Delhi in October 2018. The participants had an arduous training regime to hone their skills and represent the country in international skilling competitions and are hoping to represent their country at the upcoming 45th WorldSkills International Championship, to be held in Kazan, Russia in August.
The 45th WorldSkills International Championships will be held in Kazan, Russia in August 2019, where an anticipated audience of 250,000 will watch competitors from 80 counties compete for gold, silver and bronze medals and the title of ‘World Champion’ in their skill. VBJ will be training Sanjoy Pramanik with the necessary skills to compete in the upcoming International forums.
