Syrma Technology’s achievements recognized at the 44th ELCINA Awards

Chennai, October 201904 October 2019: Syrma Technology, a leading and a large-scale electronic products and solutions provider, had a big night at the 44th Annual ELCINA Awards, being awarded the runners-up in the Business Excellence, and Environmental Management Categories and a certificate of merit in the Quality category. The awards are a recognition of Syrma’s excellence for its outstanding and expanding business operations and its consistent performance in environmental and quality management.

On receiving the awards, Dr. Sreeram Srinivasan, CEO, Syrma Technology, said, “It is an honour to be recognized by ELCINA again and our year has been better than ever, with us expanding our manufacturing operations and adding new business portfolios, say rapid prototyping and of course, repair and rework services. We are especially honoured to be recognised for our quality performance consistently and our efforts in environmental management; this will further motivate us to add intelligence to products in a sustainable manner for our clients.”

The Annual Awards of the Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA) is one of the long-standing awards in the manufacturing industry. Over the last 40 years, ELCINA has bestowed recognition on the achievements of Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) companies in India. In 2018, Syrma Technology received the award for the Electronics Exports and for Quality in the previous year. Since its inception, the group has won over 50 Industry Awards from various Government and Industry Associations.

Syrma Technology, a part of the four-decade-old Tandon Group, has over 2,800 employees across its facilities in India and helps its customers add intelligence to their products. As an export-oriented unit based in the Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ), Syrma designs and manufactures printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), RFID tags, and magnetic products for a wide range of applications. The company has more than 100 customers in over 20 countries and has produced and distributed over 200 million OEM products in the last decade. Syrma is arguably the largest producer of Internet of Things (IoT) products in India today.
