SRM University Induction-2017-B.Tech Programme


SRM University organized induction programme on 17th July 2017 for the first year B.Tech students of various engineeringprograms. The students and parents in large number were graced the function. The function started with the welcome address of Prof. T.P. Ganesan, Pro Vice – Chancellor (P&D), SRM University. In this address, he stressed on the importance of engineering in mouldingthe careers of the students. Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, Chancellor, SRM University addressed the students and parents during the function. He has told that SRM University is playing a pivotal role in the engineering programs of the country by bringing world class standards with a vision for next 50 years. The university has state-of-art infrastructure, flexible curriculum, student abroad programmes, student research activities and many more.

Prof. Prabir K.Bagchi, Vice Chancellor, SRM University, emphasized on the importance of hard work, focus and perseverance. He has also mentioned on the importance of students communicating with their parents on a daily basis. He even added that the world is full of opportunities for us to make the best of it.Later, Dr. N. Sethuraman, Registrar, SRM University, introduced the Directors, Deans and Heads of various schools and departments of the university. Several parents gave their valuable feedback about the SRM University to choose as their ward’s B.Tech destination. The programme is concluded with the vote of thanks by the Dr. D. KingslyJebasingh, Director in-charge of Engineering and Technology, SRM University.
