Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital presents ‘Save your Knee’ campaign on 12th October 2019 on the occasion of World Arthritis Day

We at Soundarapandian Bone and Joint hospital believe, ‘Prevention is better than cure’, so this Arthritis day we will also be conducting a free two day awareness camp that will be open to the public. At the camp, we will be providing free Bone Mineral Density Scans. We will also have our Senior Doctors and physiotherapists at the camp to address any and all concerns regarding knee pain and other bone/joint problems.

In addition to this, our Director, Dr. Sivamurugan will give a speech about arthritis and what we can do to prevent this chronic disease.

World Arthritis Day is celebrated globally every 12th October. It is a day designed to raise global awareness about Arthritis, the various ways we can prevent this disease and what we can do if we are living with it.

Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital has always been an active participant of World Arthritis Day. For the past 15 years, we have conducted Walk-a-thons, Expos, Art Competitions, Conferences and many other activities to raise awareness among the general public about the disease. Knee Pain and Arthritis are becoming very common among the Indian population. Nearly 90% of all Indians suffer from damaged knee joints between the ages of 60-70.
