ONGC extends support for Modern Class Rooms in University Madras

ONGC – Cauvery Basin, Chennai as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has extended financial support of Rs. 9.61 Lakh to the Department of Applied Geology, University of Madras, Guindy Campus for converting its Class Rooms into modern class rooms. The project also includes providing cubicles for Research Scholars, furniture and Auditorium accessories.

In a brief function held on September 25, 2020 at the Department of Applied Geology, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, these modern class rooms, cubicles for Research Scholars, furniture and Auditorium accessories were inaugurated by Dr. K S Bhushan, Executive Director, ONGC Cauvery Basin, Chennai and Prof. S Gowri, Vice Chancellor, University of Madras.

The modern class rooms and other infrastructure created with ONGC’s support will enable the department to provide better academic environment, benefitting the students, research scholars, faculty and staff of the department.
Mr. N Mani, Group General Manager, ONGC, Chennai, Head-Department of Applied Geology, alumni and faculty members attended the function.
