Pondicherry,September 2018: ‘Kyron Pondicherry Fashion Week‘ (KPFW) is a fashion extravaganza, celebrating bridal couture by bringing together designers of ethnic diversity and promote multicultural art in high fashion. The third annual edition of KyronPondicherry Fashion Week is aglamorous annual event is produced by Storm Fashion Company and happened on September 22nd and 23rd, 2018 at Hotel Atithi, Pondicherry. The event featured seven celebrated fashion designers PREMA FLORENCE (Auroville), ISAAC HARI ANAND(Kochi),UMA PRAJAPATI(Auroville) SANJANA JON(New York),NAZIA SYED (Chennai) & JULES IDI AMIN (Chennai) andCHAITANYA RAO(Chennai) showcased their collections.

Commenting on the occasion, Bikram Basu- Chief Operating Officer, Allied Blenders and Distillers said “France, from where Kyron gets its lineage is famous for fashion- with Paris as the trendsetting global capital. The association of Kyron with the Pondicherry Fashion Week is a build to our new “Arrive to Kyron- Fabulously French” campaign for consumer experience.”

Mr. Gaurav Sharma, CEO Storm Fashion Company said that the show, the 50th Fashion Week for Storm, would present newest style statements. “Stunning models across India will showcase the artistry of three designers at 7pm, 7:45 pm and 8:30pm respectively on the 22nd and 23rd of September 2018.  Rest assured that you appreciate and remember each curated design”.

Day 1: SATURDAY 22nd September 2018


Prema Florence Isaac presents a BoHo chic collection, day pieces in her distinctive colours, and elegant nightwear in Black and Silver.All the pieces are in her signature P.F.I. fabrics, designed by Prema and handwoven by the artisanal Tangail weaving community. Prema is also showcasing her new art-form – FabricArt collages – numbered art pieces put-together from her treasure trove of vintage sari borders, and showcased on unisex t-shirts

7:45 PM – HARI ANAND (Kochi)

Presenting Hari Anand’s Favourite Line“inside the atelier” is a real story. It’s always a mystery to know about the haute couture inside a designer’s studio. Hari Anand predicts his new work for the season with burnt charcoal colours mixed with his usual sense of style,

… The minimalism.

Fashion needs good shirts, trousers and the basics as usual, but the interpretations have to be different. This time Hari Anand works with design Monga tusser and silk satin based organza as his favourite platform. Structured looks combine with patch work and new miniature embroidery plays an important role in his new collection.   The new slim fit polo pant and the mid length jacket makes men irresistible for the season. Sanam Shetty was the show stopper for the collections.

8:30 PM – UMA PRAJAPATI (Auroville)

Khadarasi – ‘The Regal essence of Hand-spinning’

Upasana brings together a collection of royalty, grace and elegance through the threads of traditions. The design journey here at Upasana is a stretch from Khadi, the most humble handspun textile to Royal Banaras with exquisite hand woven golden yarns.Our collection of hand-spun textiles with Khadi and Varanasi weaver’s Silk celebrates grandeur in sustainability. Handmade to be versatile and timeless, our monochrome Khadi pieces are a chic spin on wardrobe classics. Combined with, Upasana’s festive pieces which are all about conscious and ethical luxury along with upcycled artwear, featuring Varanasi Weaver’s silk.Supriya was the show stopper for the collections.

Day 2: SATURDAY 23rd September 2018.

7:00 PM – SANJANA JON (New York)

Dr Sanjana Jon has always chosen and worked with a charity or cause.Pretty in Pink in Pondy  is dedicated to  universal love peace and harmony. This collection resonates purity and the transition from the flowing romantic western wear to the rich exquisitely embroidered interwoven traditional wear. Its all about wearable luxury that enhances the real woman.

7:45 PM – NAZIA SYED (Chennai) & JULES IDI AMIN (Chennai)

NAZIA SYED (Chennai): Introducing the Temple collection: South Indian wedding couture

Inspired by the iconography, art and history of ancient Indian temples down south. From the rich and intricate impressions of architectural designs (gopurams, mandapams) and carvings found in temples and temple jewellery, to celestial ornaments such as the Manimegalai, Valayapathi, Salangai, Kaasumaalai and Maangamalai Nazia Syed’s ethereal designs incorporate motifs like the chakra, nagam, suryan and annam. The collection is exquisitely crafted using traditional kemp stones in jewel-hued tones, subtly enhanced with mutthu (pearls) and beads, with hand worked zardozi and aari embroidery… Witness the history of Chola art and architecture come to life in these timeless, ethereal creations, truly fit for the goddesses.

JULES IDI AMIN (Chennai): J.I.A presents her latest label “Wicked”.Wicked was created to quench the designers never-ending desire to combine a beach lifestyle with instinctual fashion.

Wicked presents “EDEN” collection is inspired by the garden of Eden with a psychedelic twist ,bright sexy and ready to soak up the sun . Its designs are all strappy, edgy, and bold silhouettes that enhance the female figure while being fluid and fashionable. Abhishek was the showstopper for the collections


Chaitanya Rao, Chennai’s acclaimed and loved designer, renowned for styling the who’s who of Tamil cinema and Bollywood divas, always lets his clothes do the talking. Having honed his craft at Thai designs, Bangalore and Color Plus, his creations reflect his flair for illustrations and pattern making skills. Kyron Pondicherry Fashion week will witness Chaitanya’s latest collection ranging from wearable casual wear, to classy leather wear and elegant Bridal wear for the strong and confident woman to today. Actress Bindu Madhavi was the showstopper for the collections.
