Indus Towers, India’s largest telecom infrastructure company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), an integrated energy major for setting up mobile tower networkacross all26,000 outlets pan-India. This is in line with its vision of ‘Putting India First’ and committed towards building a robust infrastructure for NextGen digital services network; thus,providing uninterrupted connectivity to citizens.
Indus Towers’ unique proposition of building robust infrastructure at various IOCL retail outlets will enable a greater push towards the government’s Digital India mission and move towards a digital cashless economy. Given the strong presence of IOCL, in both rural and urban India, will further help Indus Towers’ serve its customer requirements faster.

The collaboration is a unique tower site acquisition process for the company and will boost network connectivity at all retails outlets with high traffic and footfall, enabling faster digital transactions for payments for services like fuel, transactions at convenience store etc. The first of its kind partnership will also provide capex efficiency significantly by enabling a platform which will support to host multiple technologies.

Indus Towers will be deploying its NextGen tower designs including camouflaged palm trees, ground-based mast, roof-top tower and poles across IOCL retail outlets unifying world class technology and innovation, location aesthetics and environmental considerations.
