Book launched to mark the 100th Birth Anniversary of Chidambaram S Jayaraman

Book Launch Photo 1To commemorate the 100th Birth Anniversary of yesteryear music director, Shri. C S Jayaraman, a book complied by Ms. Sivagama Sundari was launched by Director Mr. S P Muthuaman and Writer Ms. Sivasankari in an event today. The first copy of the book was received by Mr. C K Ranganathan, Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd and Padma Shri Dr. Sirkazhi G. Sivachidambaram in the presence of many renowned celebrities.

The book, ‘Or ariya isai payanam’ is a collection of anecdotes from Shri. C S Jayaraman’s musical life. Authored by his daughter, the book also comprises of a collection of letters and wishes penned by veterans from the Tamil music industry.
Commenting on the launch of the book, Ms. Sivagama Sundari, Author said “It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction to release this book on my father’s 100th Birth Anniversary. A versatile artist, my father’s name stood as a synonym for music in the golden era of Tamil cinema. The letters written by industry veterans and the excerpts of my father’s musical journey is sure to offer a ride down the memory lane for music lovers. It was heart warming and inspiring to collate the letters written by veterans in the industry about my father’s works and bring out this book. I hope through this book, many readers are able to reminisce the golden era of Tamil Cinema.”
The evening was hosted by Mr Abdul Hameed who shared insights and instances from Shri. C S Jayaraman’s life. The entertainment for the evening was presented by ‘Jeevaraja Shruti’ who was accompanied by Mr M S Britto from Malayasia, who is known for mimicking songs in the maestro’s voice.
