Anupama Parameswaran – Spectacular debuts in four film industries

Dreams do come true if you start working towards them. More often than not, all you need to do is take the first step, and the rest would fall in place. No one knows it better than Anupama Parameswaran. The 23-year-old would have never thought that her debut movie Premam would make her one of the leading actresses of South India. Since her debut in the Malayalam Industry, the actress ventured into other South Indian industries like Tamil, Kannada and Telugu. With so many hits in her kitty, the actress is very conscious about the movies that she is part of. This is also evident from her successful debuts across languages. From Premam toNatasaarvabhowma, all her film debuts were a hit, making her the queen of debuts. To understand what worked in her favour in her respective film debuts, let us have a glance at them all.

Premam (Malayalam) (2015): Who does not know or like this movie? This movie spoke to an entire generation as it became a super hit at the box office. The 2015 Malayalam movie stars Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and our very own Anupama in the lead. Premam marks her debut film appearance and she makes the most of it. Her mellow innocent look, voice and the incredibly adorable expressions made her stand out from the rest, not to mention her amazing hairstyle that she rocked. Though Sai Pallavi stole the hearts of many, Anupama too carved a special place in the audience’s hearts.

AAa (Telugu) (2016): Considering the number of movies she has done in the Telugu Industry since her debut in 2016, it would not be wrong of us to say that Tollywood is her strong suit. So far the actress has done more than 12 movies out of which 7 are in Telugu, with Rakshasudu in production. Coming to her Telugu film debut with  A Aa, her character Nagavalli was not prominent as the lead Samantha, but despite that, her portrayal of a stubborn, jealous village girl was so on point that she managed to leave an impact on the audience. Although A Aa was her first movie in Tollywood, Anupama chose to dub for the movie, which was very much appreciated by the audience.

Kodi (Tamil) (2016): Kodi marks the debut of this adorable actress in Kollywood. It was quite remarkable to see Anupama share screen with one of the leading actors of Kollywood, Dhanush. You can see a pattern here. In all the above movies, she is not the only female lead in the movie, but despite that, she still manages to outshine the other actresses with her impeccable performance. Just like in A Aa, Anupama has a quirky character in Kodi too. She plays Malati who is a headstrong girl and is independent, thanks to her egg farm. any believed that her career would see a facelift after this movie, and going by her track record, it seems to have come true.

Natasaarvabhowma (Kannada) (2019): With this Puneeth Rajkumar starrer, Anupama made herdebut in the Kannada Industry and we, the fans, could not be any happier. This movie is a little different from all her other debuts. In that, though she shared the screen with Rachita Ram, here, Anupama was the female lead. The movie was amazing, and so was her performance. Need we say more about Anupama in this Kannada blockbuster!!!?

Over the years, Anupama’s career graph did see some ups and downs, but the actress managed to turn things around by wisely selecting the movies.
