Porter started the scheme in June 2017 to incentivise partners to provide quality service to customers. “The two-fold objective of this campaign was to ensure that our customers are happy with our superior service and to acknowledge and reward our driver partners who are consistently doing good work. We are constantly striving to create opportunities that help our driver partners to go beyond their normal earning that would benefit them and their families,” said Mr Pranav Goel, Porter CEO and Co-founder.
“Porter is constantly striving to create opportunities that benefit our driver partners. We want to empower more individuals and create an ecosystem that will help create new business owners,” Mr Goel added. For the app users this means more mileage for their money.
The success of Nandagopal, one of the driver partners of Porter, is a testimony to Porter’s empowering idea. Says Nandagopal: “I started my career as a driver. Seeing an opportunity to increase my earnings, I bought a Tata Ace on loan and signed up with Porter a year back. It’s been a smooth journey with Porter.” Nandagopal also earned Rs 10,000 by referring his friends and family to the platform.
“I’m getting at least 3 trips on a daily basis and earning up to Rs 2000,” said Das, who won the Gold coin at Porter’s mega event.
The winner of the Mega Bumper Prize ‘Yamaha Scooter’, Karthikeyan spoke about his memorable trip with Porter. “I bought a Tata Ace, but didn’t get enough trips from the market then. I came to know about Porter and signed up. I gave my best service to the customers and because of that, I have got good ratings from them. They have helped me win the mega prize. Thank you,” he said.
Porter partners can earn points every month which can be redeemed after 6 months cycle for prizes. There are 2 reward cycles in a year, i.e., January-June and July-December. Points can be carried forward without redemption for the next cycle and points left after redemption will be carried forward for next cycle. Driver partners earn points for every 5 star order completed. Top partners will also be rewarded with prizes based on points which varies from water purifier, cookware, gold coins, microwave oven, mobile handsets, LED TV etc. The partner with the highest points in each city stands to take away a mega prize of a Bike.
“After the success of its campaign, Porter is also introducing new initiatives to offer a superior experience to the partners in all walks of life,”added Goel.
Every partner who earns more than 1000 points in a month can avail medical subscription services. The services include free medical consultation on the phone for the partner and immediate family along with discounts on prescription medicines. So far, approximately 1100 partners have become eligible for this service on a monthly basis. Porter has also tied up with insurance agencies to provide health insurance for their partners, with an annual coverage of Rs 2 Lakh per annum across 250 hospitals across Chennai. This health insurance scheme is part of their Rewards and Recognition Scheme.
