In a remarkable achievement, Indywood, a platform to unite stakeholders in Indian film industry under one roof, has attracted Rs 1000 crore investment from NRI billionaire BR Shetty. Indywood Founder Director Sohan Roy played a significant role in drawing BR Shetty’s attention to Film Industry for making this magnum opus project which will be directed by renowned ad film maker VA Shrikumar Menon.

BR Shetty, Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO of Abu Dhabi-based NMC Group will pump the money to produce Mahabharata movie, an adaptation of renowned Indian writer MT Vasudevan Nair’s Jnanpeeth award winning novel “Randamoozham” (The Second Turn).
