An MOU was signed with SMCH to collaborate and develop the Heart, Lung, Transplant program, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Medical Gastroenterology specialities at their facility. Dr. N. M. Chandrasekar, HOD, Institute of Renal Sciences, Gleneagles Global Health City represented their respective organizations to sign the M.O.U at the Saveetha Medical College and Hospitals, Chennai.
According the Memorandum of Understanding, Gleneagles Global Health City will depute their Transplant coordination Staff, both clinical as well as the administrative at Saveetha Medical College and Hospital. The staff then will act as a bridge between the experts and Gleneagles Global Health City and the experts at Saveetha Medical College and Hospital. Dr. Sandeep Attawar and Dr. Govini Balasubramani will work closely with the experts at SMCH regarding the Heart, Lung and the Thoracic Transplant programme while Dr. K Sridhar and Dr. Ponniah Vanamurthy will assist the SMCH experts on the Neurosurgery and Neurosciences specialities. Dr. R Ravi will look into the Medical Gastroenterology department. The M.o.U will also provide a possibility of transfer of patients within the facilities on non-exclusive basis depending on patient requirements.
