Madurai, 2018 –Gillette, India’s leading men’s grooming brand concluded the VetriNichyaminitiative with Indian Musical Duo HiphopTamizhaAdhi,Indian Television anchor Mr.GobinathChandran, Professor Dr.Parveen Sultana, SIET Collegeand Mr T. Udhayachandran IAS officerin Chennai today, felicitating and encouraging young men to take on the journey of success with confidence and vigour.
Gillette’s ‘VetriNichayam’initiative was conducted in75 colleges across 7 districts in Tamil Nadu reaching out to a total of 30,000 students. A challenging aptitude test, mock interviews and group discussions were undertaken by third year college students across the seven districts of Tamil Nadu for prospective job opportunities. With this program, the students were facilitated with career planning and personal grooming sessions by experts in the industry. With the grand finale of the event conducted today, top 10 winners have got the opportunity to get a 3-month internship and 18-month work visa in Australia.
Speaking about the importance of grooming and soft skills in the work environment,Dr.Parveen Sultana said, “Being a professor I am aware of how the students prepare for job placements. They are so focussed on securing results that they end up missing out on important aspects such as grooming and overall attitude. I am glad that VetriNichayam as a platform provides opportunities to students for a holistic development. This initiative is creating awareness amongst the students about the importance of grooming and in turn preparing them to be job-ready to face the corporate world.
