DELHI HIGH COURT DIRECTS JSPL & FIRST CONSTRUCTION COUNCIL

New Delhi, November , 2018: The Delhi High Court in a special urgent hearing held on Tuesday, 6th November, 2018 (otherwise being a court holiday due to Diwali) passed ex-parte injunction orders against Jindal Steel & Power Limited, First Construction Council, Facebook, Youtube and WhatsApp directing immediate restraint to be put on any display and propagation of a defamatory report which was being circulated claiming Kamdhenu Limited’s Steel TMT Bars to be of inferior quality and failing Laboratory Tests. Hon’ble Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw of the Delhi High Court viewed the defamatory videos being circulated on Social Media and ordered that all such videos and the said report of First Construction Council shall immediately be stopped from circulation on Facebook, Youtube, WhatsApp and also passed orders directing Jindal  Steel & Power Limited and First Construction Council to stop propagating such defamatory reports. Case No.        CS (COMM) 1229/2018 – Order Dated 6.11.2018

This decision came after Kamdhenu Ltd. approached the Hon’ble Delhi High Court to obtain a stay on the propagation of the report in relation to TMT Steel Bars under the trademark of ‘KAMDHENU’ in any manner.
